A structured participation programme for Nigerians abroad to engage with Nigeria-focused development pathways through NCDF Group.

Why the Programme Exists

Programme Purpose

The purpose of the NCDF Nigerian Diaspora Development Programme is to organise the participation of Nigerians abroad in Nigeria-focused development pathways through clear programme structures, defined entry routes and responsible institutional safeguards.

The Programme supports Nigerians abroad who want to:

  • Participate in Nigeria-focused development opportunities.
  • Access structured information about approved diaspora pathways.
  • Explore affordable housing and home-ownership participation.
  • Engage with impact-oriented capital pathways, subject to applicable legal, regulatory and offering-document controls.
  • Connect professional expertise to Nigeria-focused opportunities.
  • Explore returnee, career, internship, fellowship, mentoring or enterprise pathways.
  • Engage with NCDF Group’s wider development ecosystem.
  • Participate through diaspora associations, professional networks and community organisations.
  • Support national development through credible, documented and organised channels.

The Three Programme Pathways

Nigerian Diaspora Impact Fund

The Nigerian Diaspora Impact Fund is a diaspora-oriented impact participation pathway designed for Nigerians abroad who are interested in structured, documented and development-linked capital participation.

The pathway is intended to connect eligible diaspora participants with properly governed opportunities linked to Nigeria-focused development themes, subject to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, eligibility review, offering documentation, internal approval and professional advice.

The Fund pathway is positioned around responsible impact participation, not informal fundraising.

It may support development themes connected to financial inclusion, healthcare, housing, agro-industry, education, digital economy, infrastructure, enterprise development and other NCDF Group priority sectors.

Who this pathway is for

This pathway is for eligible Nigerians in the diaspora who want to explore impact-oriented participation in Nigeria-focused development opportunities through appropriate documentation and compliance processes.

What participants may do

Participants may register interest, request information, attend approved briefings, complete eligibility review and access relevant documentation where appropriate.

Diaspora Affordable Housing Programme

The Diaspora Affordable Housing Programme is a practical home-ownership and real asset participation pathway for Nigerians abroad.

Many Nigerians in the diaspora want to own property in Nigeria, support family housing needs, prepare for eventual return, participate in credible housing projects or secure long-term real asset exposure connected to home. However, diaspora housing participation is often affected by weak documentation, informal agents, delivery uncertainty, title concerns and limited institutional oversight.

The Diaspora Affordable Housing Programme is designed to provide a more structured route.

Through this pathway, Nigerians abroad may register interest in selected housing opportunities connected to NCDF Group’s housing, infrastructure and smart-community development ecosystem, subject to project availability, documentation, verification, eligibility and programme terms.

What this pathway may support

  • Diaspora affordable housing interest registration.
  • Home-ownership planning for Nigerians abroad.
  • Housing access connected to selected NCDF Group housing initiatives.
  • Family housing support and return-home planning.
  • Real asset participation subject to project availability and documentation.
  • Verified enquiry management and structured follow-up.
  • Access to approved information on available or pipeline housing opportunities.
  • Engagement with housing briefings and programme updates.

Who this pathway is for

This pathway is for Nigerians abroad who want a more structured, verified and documented route to participate in housing and home-ownership opportunities in Nigeria.

Diaspora Career Opportunity

The Diaspora Career Opportunity  is a structured professional, returnee, youth, internship, fellowship, entrepreneurship and NCDF ecosystem engagement pathway for Nigerians abroad.

Diaspora Career Opportunity recognises that diaspora contribution is not only financial. Nigerians abroad also bring skills, professional discipline, global exposure, technical capacity, entrepreneurial experience, sector expertise, research capability, leadership experience and international networks.

The Programme provides a structured route for these capabilities to be identified, profiled, assessed and connected to appropriate opportunities within NCDF Group’s ecosystem where suitable.

Diaspora Career Opportunity may support

  • Diaspora professional profile registration.
  • Returnee career pathway exploration.
  • Internship and fellowship opportunities.
